I'm calling in sick today. First time since I got hired.

I hate not going to work, so I'm forced to stay at home. But I gotta admit, I'll scare people off if I go like this to work. My cough is so heavy, it's starting to hurt when I have to cough.

Bleh :(

I have a cold, and I'm always told to rest. But there's one HUGE problem: I suck at resting.

I'm restless. I avoided exercising to 'rest', but I found myself doing million of other things.

So, my q is: How do YOU rest?

I hate umbrellas. I really do! They're useless! IF you are lucky, and buy one that doesn't flip as you're walking in the rain, when you want to get in the car, you'll get wet trying to close that little #@$!@~!

Ya, rant is over. I feel better. God bless my raincoat. My $2 raincoat :P

As for my Saturday; I woke up with a cold. A stupid heavy cold. Then to top it of, I had to work! I went and taught a 3 hour class, then stayed an extra hour to work on something. It wasn't THAT bad to work on a Saturday. My students made it less worse! They loved the almond filled pastries I got them! And seeing them satisfied, satisfied me!

OH, and Curacao is undergoing a rainy day. Lots and lots of heavy rain. Streets were covered in water, some houses lost power. It WAS CRAZY trying to drive in the rain, but I still managed to go to the nearest by McDonalds and get me my fave ice cream EVER: my vanilla cone. It was oh so good....Yum yum!

Another 45 hour worked this week.

And I got 3 more tomorrow!

I have a class to give at the bank, and I know how hard that is on some people, so I bought them some pastries so that they can munch on in the morning, to make things just a little sweeter. Man, now I sound cheesy hihih

1. I twirl my hair around my finger. Even when not nervous. I even have a routine when doing that.

2. I don't trust easily. In fact, it takes me a while to fully trust someone.

3. I like hotel rooms

4. Drinking warm milk is my thang. I dislike cold milk. Blech.

5. I tend to complicate things, so that I can fully analyze it and come up with my own conclusion

6. I met one of my best friends 17 yrs ago, and we were friends since the first day until today.

7. I like orange juice, pickles and anything that would cause heartburn. And I secretly eat pickles 'accidentally'....because I'm not allowed anymore.

8. Making other people laugh or smile is my most favorite thing to do

9. I like taking care of people. I'm usually the nurse of the family.

10. I like bellydancing to non-arabic songs

11. I like The Killers. An indie band that most find it weird. I love them more than you think

12. I cry easily, but not in front of people

13. As a kid I had a rugrats pillow and a nightgown my grandma gave me, and after she passed away I still kept them to remember her, until I was forced to throw them away

14. I have broken 3 bones in my life

15. I don't like a quiet environment. Silence. Bleh. I'd be the one breaking the silence. or even turning the tv on to make some noice around the house.

16. I really love the differences between a man and a woman. The way we are made, how different and sexy they are. God, I'd be the worst lesbian.

Oh damn, i wish I could write more!

I just got home after 10 hours of work. Non-stop. Didn't see the sky for 10 hours straight. I know there are worse shifts, but this was a tough one.

I'm already working on 10,000 things at once, and on top of it all, I had to teach a 3-hour lesson of Office Training, from 4 to 7 pm. I was as tired as my students, but I kept pushing! I even offered them Choco-filled toffees to keep them happy, hihihih.

My feet are covered with blisters now, I don't feel my bottom half, and my fingers are tired. I feel like crashing, if I didn't already do that! lol

And this lesson was the first of about 35-40. So I gotta stay patient. This requires commitment from me to the bank I work for. And I gave my work, and I will stick to it, God's will (inshallah).

And now to make you forget about ALL my complaining:

Ay, christa!

She's now in a plane going to holland. I tried SO hard to see her today, but it's like it wasn't meant to be! I tried to get out of work early, but mom got stuck at the doctor (another long story) and when I was about to go to the airport she called me to tell me she's already going to the gate. So I couldn't see her :(

I didn't give up. I went to the airport to see her depart, after standing outside for 1 hour, I find out there is a 1.5 hour delay. I tried to call her, but she gave her cellphone to her friend. When I got the correct number, her cell's battery was dead.

I at least know I tried to hear her voice :(

All i hope now is that she recovers quickly (also a long story)...

Wow, that was a long weekend. Glad it's over :D

I'm experiencing a little bit of Monday blues, but not too bad. Just the usual cranky-ness and 'getting irritated' easily symptoms :P

But the closer the clock gets to 5 o'clock, the chipper I feel! woot woot!

Oh and the lesson learned this weekend: No more leg exercises pour moi. Done. Fini!
It just has the opposite effects on my legs! Agh!

Fridayyyyy!!!

Yayyyyy!!! I should be happy, but today is the last day of work for a coworker of mine. She's not only a coworker of mine, she became my friend. A very good, honest, and loyal friend. And now she's leaving to Holland to open the next chapter in her life.

I wish her the best, and I'll try to have tons of fun with her on her last day!

I'll miss u, Christa!

ps: I convinced her to start livejournal, so we can keep each other posted! :D

Smoltz is leaving to Boston.

I'm torn here. I'm a fan of both team, but I still can't picture Smoltz without a Braves uniform! He could've stayed with us! It's smoltzie we're talking about!!!

I know it could be worse. He could've left for the Angels, Yankees or Mets (God forbid), but he'll surely be missed as a Brave.

I don't celebrate x-mas, but I sure do have the x-mas spirit! Yesterday my sister took me for a ride to see all the x-mas lights, and with the x-mas soft music in the background I felt so warm and fuzzy! I loved it!

As far as my plans for today are concerned, I'll be just finishing all the packing so that I leave tomorrow morning, inshallah, to Florida. AT LAST!

Hey y'all!

Another workday passed. Today was a tough one. I had a presentation and was far from ready to do it. But I decided not to give in and bail out; so I presented without really preparing. It came out actually good and felt really natural. The IT management team appreciated it! And they understood the difficulties I was having. So that was a huge relief.

I'm a little tired to sit and type. I like to be witty with my posts and right now I feel witless so I rather not write hihihi

What summarizes my day: my feet feel dead. I don't feel my toes at all. Well, thank my shoes for that! ;D

btw, i'm visiting the states next Friday. I really can't wait. I haven't been in a plane since 2002. I really need a vacation after such a long year!

I don't have mlb extra inning this year. I'm too broke after purchasing a new laptop to have that luxury. So I'm lucky if I even get to watch them once a week!!

I've been slacking with my journal, but it's because I have barely time for anything. I'm still waiting for the call after my interview at Centrale Bank. To be honest, I've been thinking about it most of my day. Trying to distract myself as much as possible. It is hard! But then I think about McCann and get distracted a little!

What do you get?! REALLY busy!
Man, school and internship/job hunting is CRAZY! But it's pretty exciting, I must say. Went to my first job interview on Friday. I wasn't really nervous, and I didn't need to be. It was very nice and mellow, and the interviewer was really great. He made me feel comfortable, and I got a callback :D

As it's always good to have a backup, I got a call for another interview this week. This is one isn't just an interview. It's at Centrale BANK!!!! The biggest bank we got here! I'll tell you more about this tomorrow. I'm way too sleepy. As I submit this, I'm turning this thing off.

Ahhh! The entrepeneurship presentation is behind my back. Worked on it for a long while. I seriously don't know what university would be like without my friends. They just make everything allright. All the torture we go through together, brings us closer :D

Tomorrow is the day. My very first job interview ever. The jitters are already here. I'm not scared, just anxious. I better go sleep early, it's at 8 am!

I need suerte!

But things can only get better from now on.

If I weren't THIS tired, I'd write a longer post. But two projects at the same time is taking a lot of my time. On top of that I'm internship hunting, which is a pain. I'm a workaholic, and I like having things to do. But that means one thing: I usually stress myself out, otherwhise I find that I'm not working hard enough. Ah, enough of the phylosophical talk. Too tired for that.

And about today's braves game? I feel like giving Glavine a hug. He deserved a win, and now another game was wasted. AGHHHH!!!! I'm not gonna trashtalk our bullpen yet. It's way too early! lol
